Please be aware- all planned stakeholder workshops on food, farming and fishing have been postponed until after the general election on June 8th

Defra recognise this is very short notice to change plans and apologise for any inconvenience that this might have caused you.

While the rules dictate that the nature of the engagement will need to change slightly, Defra is still really keen to understand the views of representatives of the food, farming and fishing industries on the key challenges and opportunities for these sectors and continue to want to hear from you during the pre-election period.

DEFRA are inviting you to their ‘Building a Great Future’ Regional Stakeholder event (West)

DEFRA are holding regional events across the country to capture both national and local issues and viewpoints.

Outline programme:

We will discuss the vision, principles and actions required to create a successful future for food, farming and fisheries.

The event will consist of plenary and group discussions during which delegates can provide views and discuss issues that may affect the long-term future of food, farming and fisheries in England. A detailed agenda will be sent in advance of the event to delegates.

We want to ensure that we engage with as many interested stakeholders from across the diverse food, farming and seafood industries as possible. Due to venue capacity, however, we may need to limit the number of attendees from the same organisation to ensure a balanced representation from across the sectors.

If you know of others with a regional interest but may not have received this invitation, please do let us know and we will seek to ensure that they have an opportunity to engage.
