Mendip Rocks!

Mendip Rocks! is an annual festival of geology that hosts an exciting programme of events to celebrate the awe-inspiring 450 million year geology of the Mendip Hills.

The festival will run across October 2026 and is packed with unique opportunities to uncover the secrets beneath your feet and experience the area like never before!

From fascinating guided geo walks and behind-the-scenes tours of operational quarries, to lectures and family open days, this year’s programme has something for everyone.

Join us to launch the festival on Saturday 3rd October at Ebbor Gorge for a family open day and evening lantern and projections performance about the Mendip Wolves that once roamed the landscape!
