AONB Volunteers are Celebrating Success at the Mendip Ploughing Match

Four of our Dry Stone Wall Volunteers took part in the highly anticipated 152nd Mendip Ploughing Match at Priddy. Each competitor has to build 1.5 metres of wall to be judged by strict criteria including time, dimensions and quality.

Our entrants achieved their best ever results coming second, third and fourth; well done all of you!

First prize went to Lauren Holt who trained with Mendip Hills AONB Service but now works for the National Trust: many congratulations Lauren!
