Mendip Hills AONB Volunteer Rangers Recruitment Event

Do you love spending time out and about throughout the year on the Mendip Hills? Do you live in or near the Mendip Hills AONB? If so, you could be one of the amazing people we are looking for.

The Mendip Hills AONB Service are looking to recruit a new cohort of Volunteer Rangers to join our existing team of 40. Volunteer Rangers come from all backgrounds each with a different set of skills and interests. Some of our rangers are history specialists, some are archaeologists, some are simply keen walkers but they all love the Mendip Hills. Whatever your interest or skill, if you would like to share it with the visitors to the Mendip Hills, then this could be the role for you.

Rangers can lead walks and events for the public as well as undertaking regular site visits around the area. You will be the public face of the Mendip Hills and a friendly point of information for those who need it.

The volunteer rangers have been a key part of our service since the 1980’s and some have been with us since the start, so many have made lifelong friendships through the work that we all do together. There is a real family feeling throughout the team.
