Drop in and Discover Mendip

Drop in and discover the Mendip Hills in Weston-super-Mare. On Sunday 17th November between 10am and 1pm we’ll be taking over The Front Room, near the seafront, to help you discover the national landscape that’s on your doorstep.

This free event will have lots of family-friendly activities and crafts and even try your hand at drystone walling. Discover the wildlife on Mendip you might be able to find and watch the amazing films about these special creatures. Mendip’s Nature Recovery Ranger will be doing short talks throughout the morning and there will tales from the Darker Side of Mendip book read by Mendip legend Les Davies MBE.  

You can take away information about the different places to visit across the area, and staff from the National Landscape Team will be there to give you lots of advice and answer questions.

The Front Room is an award-winning, community space in Weston-super-Mare.
