Exploring Fairy Cave Quarry Walk with Armchair Caving Talk

August 22, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 5:30 pm

This beautifully named quarry has become renowned for its important cave systems. Walk around the quarry to see the caves then visit them safely from your chair! The walk will be followed by a short slideshow at the Somerset Earth Science Centre with refreshments.

This is an easy going walk around the disused quarry floor led by Peter Glanvill, caver and photographer suitable for all ages except very small children. Those interested in natural history might want to bring binoculars.

Not suitable for wheelchair or mobility scooter users.

There is limited parking at the Quarry, alternative parking is available at the Somerset Earth Science Centre, please arrive at 1.30pm and we can arrange transport across.

Booking is essential, this is a free event but a suggested donation to Mendip Rocks! of £3pp would be appreciated.
