From Rocks to Works; How Cheddar gets its water

A walk and talk led by Mike Sumbler, Bristol Water through the water bearing rocks and structures of Cheddar gorge moving on to Bristol Water’s Cheddar treatment works, to discover how Mendip water is supplied to our taps.

Meet at Cheddar Gorge upper ponds, tour will take you down to Cox’s Mill, then back to collect cars and a short drive down to the treatment works. Suggested parking at Cliff St car park by the Riverside Inn, (this is a pay and display car park).

Booking is essential, this is a free event but a suggested donation to Mendip Rocks! of £3pp would be appreciated.
