Covid-19 Update

Tuesday 24th March 2020
Limestone outcrop of Crook Peak towards Cheddar reservoir

In line with the latest government guidelines, all travel to the Mendip Hills AONB for recreational purposes must cease now. As important as it is to have time in nature, it’s simply not worth putting yourself and those in your community at risk of infection. If you’re lucky enough to live in the AONB please follow the latest government rules about outdoor activity.

The latest guidance and advice on the Coronavirus can be found on the government website here.

The Mendip Hills AONB has been around for millions of years and will continue to be available for everyone to enjoy once the current situation has resolved. In the meantime we’ll be sharing content from the archives on the special qualities of the Mendip Hills AONB.

We have now postponed all forthcoming meetings, events and practical tasks. However, we are carrying on with business as usual as far as possible by working remotely. If you have a query, please email Mendip@mendiphillsaonb.org.uk and we’ll respond as soon as we can.

In the meantime, please follow us on Twitter @MendipHillsAONB Facebook @MendipHillsAONB and Instagram @MendipHillsAONB for the latest updates.

With thanks and best wishes,
Sarah, Lauren, Tim and Jim.
